Though the present 'discourse' between our present and former prime ministers is being highlighted daily, I have not seen any true nationalism being shown for the betterment of the common rakyat, bumi or non-bumi alike.

Even with all the hoo-ha about their economic plans, the poor still remain poor and the rich only get richer. It seems like it's who you know that will make you rich and as for the commoners, only God knows.

There will definitely be no benefits to the people no matter who wins in this argument between the past and current prime minister. So I would suggest, without prejudice, that whoever is at the helm, if he wants to walk the talk, then the first thing he should do is to be accountable.

He should be willing to curtail one's own power and be answerable to a group of professional individuals who are not involved with the government or opposition. These individuals too, must also be able to stand up to public scrutiny. This is the first step towards a better, cleaner and transparent government.
