Much has been said and discussed about S Samy Vellu and the MIC. How long more is the Indian community to be continuously oppressed and suppressed under a dictatorial leadership? Isn't 24 years of humiliation, suffering and continued negligence enough?

One of Samy's great achievements during his leadership is coaxing and duping the Indian community into ploughing RM100 into famed and failed Maika Holdings way back in 1984. This was with the assurance that it would be the Indian equivalent of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) to uplift the socio-economic status of Indian Malaysians.

But what has happened to Maika Holdings? It has been completely ripped off and is now on the verge of utmost bankruptcy. The investors are holding worthless pieces of paper and many have been cheated on their life savings and have ended up in debt to repay loans taken to buy Maika shares.

Samy has not only helped to make the Indians poorer, he has also earned their wrath to last until eternity.

And what happened to the 10 million Telekom Malaysia Berhad shares offered to Maika in 1990. Questions had been posed countless times but Samy has always been very evasive. There went another Indian treasure.

MIC members, please exercise your votes tomorrow. And let us all hope that this will be the beginning of the end of the S Samy Vellu saga. Thank you, but 24 years in more than enough.
