I refer to your report A RM490 mil question for Azalina .

I am a Malaysian and have been living in UK for 30 years. There are thousands with similar status living in the UK, bringing up their children in British schools and enjoying sports through academies and club sports.

Some of the children are very good in sports and perhaps some funding can be diverted to these Malaysian children to excel and do better in the sporting activity and to go on to represent Malaysia.

My children did a lot of swimming and participated in all the galas and regional and national sporting events. My daughter represented England at the age of 12 years as a junior in 50m and 100m free stroke. However, due to financial commitments, she was not able to go on to commit to taking up swimming seriously after her GCSE.

The Malaysian children living here in the UK, are well-adapted to the culture and the social system of schooling and sports. It is better to find someone already in the UK to train and represent Malaysia and save thousands and thousands of ringgit.
