I refer to your report PM goes on air to defend son, son-in-law .
We all know that to a significant extent, what Pak Lah said in defence of his son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin and his son Kamaluddin is hogwash. And we all know that what Tun Mahathir Mohamad raised about Pak Lah's administration are things he (Dr M) was also guilty of when he was prime minister.
But yet we follow their antics as if the winner would make a difference to the way the country is governed. Why?
Perhaps because we are so refreshed and surprised by this open debate where the powerful meets his match; when all this while the rakyat's voice was left unheard, dismissed, suppressed and ridiculed.
Perhaps because of the entertainment content; a 'sandiwara' of epic proportions. A tragi-comedy by heroic characters who had begun to believe their own lies, and the audience are aware of what the actors have forgotten.
Or is it perhaps because we are hoping deep in our hearts that the protagonists would finish each other off and make room for a new dawn where actors act and leaders lead.
Malaysians are ready for Act II.
