I am particularly interested on the issue of rotating the Penang chief minister's post. Umno has yet again raised this issue that has been brought up several times over recent years. This is because Umno thinks that because it holds the state's majority, so they must rule the state.

One Umno leader recently mentioned about Penang not getting as much projects as other states. Umno rules the other states so it is easy to share the loot. Some Gerakan politicians openly talk about the great headache the Penang CM has when it comes to distributing projects and development funds. Umno leaders give him sleepless nights.

If Umno members do not get their way for any project, licence or even positions in special committees, they seek out national Umno leaders to pressure the Penang CM who ends up getting thoroughly bullied by these Umno leaders. That's why it is not surprising if Khairy Jamaluddin called on the Penang CM as claimed by Dr Mahathir Mohamad . The Penang CM can deny all he wants. The people knows the truth.

The only reason Gerakan people are not openly speaking about this is because they fear Umno's wrath. Umno is like a durian and Gerakan, MCA and MIC are like watermelons. Whichever way, the melons will always suffer the damage. Among themselves, they will grumble about being second-class BN parties for the second-class citizens of the country.

Back to rotating the Penang CM's post. Penang Umno Youth says it is not racial. This means they are being racial. Ask any thief, he will be the first to claim he didn't steal. That's because of his conscience.

Since the call to rotate the post is from Nibong Tebal whose leader is the Deputy Chief Minister Abdul Rashid Abdullah, this call by Umno youth cannot be taken lightly. It definitely has more to it than what you see on the surface.

It is funny that Umno claims Gerakan should not monopolise the post and that they (Umno) are also claiming it for the MCA. They are saying Gerakan must understand and they (Gerakan) did not win the elections on their own. Umno stresses that Umno has tolerated and compromised on this issue for a long time.

For this, I have one simple question. Umno did not win national elections on it's own. MCA, Gerakan, MIC and the other BN coalition partners all worked to bring BN to power. By their own logic and sense, why not then rotate the prime minister's post?
