I refer to your report Halting aid to Malays courts chaos: Dr M .

It is very clear that no one would be against the NEP (or by whatever name you want to call it) if it is implemented in accordance with the spirit of helping those who are weak and incapable of helping themselves without the help of the government.

But it is already very well-known that, the elite, the very people who have been entrusted to carry out the various programmes under the NEP, have instead enriched themselves, so much so that the majority of the poor have remained poor. In fact, the gap between the poor and rich has been allowed to widen.

It is imperative that the government makes concerted efforts to reverse the immorality of having failed to implement the NEP properly. It is not about the Malays and non-Malays. The Malay and non-Malay matter harped upon is a mere convenience for the Umnoputras to enrich themselves at the expense of the poor who comprise both Malays and non-Malays. This is well-known fact to all Malaysians.

So very often, it is the Umnoputras who have been given contracts and who in turn sell their contracts to the non-Malays. In so doing, they have not gained the full benefits of the contract award. Whose mistake is that? The person who buys the contract or the non-Malays?

No, it is the government's mistake, more so those of the senior officers in the various government departments who make the decisions - not just in awarding the contracts but in allowing the pricing of the contract to exceed the market price. How else can those awarded the contracts sell them off if the price is not attractive?

So, to Dr M, come off it. You are no newcomer. You had 22 years when you ruled over everything. You even got rid of the good judges, throwing our judiciary into the dungeon.

To you, Dr M, once again, come off it.
