Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has finally admitted that his son Kamaluddin Abdullah has amassed a great deal of wealth since he (Abdullah) took office three years ago.

Abdullah told the press that his son Kamaluddin now owns 180 ships through a takeover of a shipping company.

Can someone enlighten us as to how much 180 ships would be worth when translated into ringgit and sen? I am sure even the biggest shipping tycoons the world over would be put to shame.

And shipping is only part of Scomi Group's business. Imagine what Kamaluddin is actually worth. And what about Abdullah's brother Ibrahim and son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin? Please enlighten us, Mr Prime Minister.

Is this the clean and transparent government that Abdullah promised us when he took office three years ago?
