  • With reference to the letter entitled Malaysian voters should know, I would like to state that Malaysia has not passed the true test of democracy.

The true test of democracy is when the ruling party loses the election, it steps down and let the victor take over the reins of government without calling in the army. Malaysia has not passed this test because it has yet to be tested in this manner.

With due respect to The Voters, there is no opposition party with the ability to take over from the BN government.

What the Malaysian voters should do is to identify some of the BN members of parliament and make sure that these people lose their seats even if it means voting for an opposition party that they have no great love for.

So far, given the choice between a monkey and a donkey, we have always voted for the monkey. Granted, the monkey's party is going to continue to rule the country.

Let us kick out some of the monkeys (especially the racist ones) even at the expense of admitting some donkeys into the house as long as we know these donkeys are not going to run the country.
