I refer to the malaysiakini report Fiery speeches: 'Stern warning' for Umno three .

Non-Malays are not at all surprised by the action taken by Umno to reprimand the trio for their seditious speeches against the Chinese. There is no point repeating those words here but many of us are numbed by those statements by Umno politicians.

The thunderous applause at he assembly only showed that Umno members are in full support of the harsh words spoken. Those words are seditious and there are laws governing sedition.

The question most of us are asking is, what is the Attorney-General's Chambers going to do about it? The speeches were telecast nationwide and the world media has caught on to the news. Those speeches are prima facie seditious. Is the AG now admitting that this country has two sets of laws - one for the Umno members and one for the non-Umno members and the non-Malays?

Parliamentary Opposition Leader Lim Kit Siang was so right when he said that if the opposition were to utter such words, he will be hauled up by the law in no time at all.

The other Barisan Nasional component parties like the MCA or Gerakan are worse than eunuchs and are an insult to any right-thinking Chinese Malaysian. After being slapped and spat at the Umno assembly, they have the gall to sing the same tune of 'working in the BN within the Barisan spirit'. What is the 'Barisan family spirit' that you understand, please tell us.

The reprimanding of the three delegates by Umno is simply a case of closing the gates after the horse has bolted. Unless the MCA can stand up for the rights of the community that they are representing, they will remain irrelevant as they have always been.
