I refer to the letter Converts shouldn't play hide-and-seek by Dr Mana.
Dr Mana can say that converts shouldn't play hide-and-seek. If we have more religious freedom, nobody would need to play hide-and-seek. If non-Muslims can marry Muslims without converting to Islam, then there would be no necessity for hide-and-seek.
For example, the late Palestinian president, Yasser Arafat, married a Christian. Neither he nor his wife had to play hide-and-seek because Muslim Palestinians apparently have the freedom to marry non-Muslims.
In Malaysia, you don't need to be a convert to play hide-and-seek. Just a rumour of conversion will do as evidenced by the terrified children huddling in fear in a church in Ipoh because of an angry Muslim mob outside the church.
The children were there to receive their first communion, an important religious rite of Catholics. It was supposed to be a joyous occasion. Hide-and-seek? Dr Mana, living in fear is not a game.
