In response to PT Tan's reply to my letter , I agree that the threat of riots is largely empty.

The right-wing bumiputera need not respond with recklessness anymore. My point is not to underestimate their ability to move institutions, power and the rules.

Why riot when you can have the police, Rela members and even the army to do the work for you? They can change the rules, too, for example, confiscating assets of Ali-Baba Chinese partners if found guilty.

They can impose unreasonable demand on Chinese primary schools including forced assimilation. The possibilities are only limited by their imagination.

It is the corrupt, unprincipled, bumiputeras with wealth that are holding back the right-wing bumiputeras But their influence is limited and in the face of losing power, they cannot hold back the right-wingers.
