I refer to the malaysiakini report VCD alleges DAP-PAS 'secret pact' .
This is typical of BN's political hegemony. Unfounded allegations which the DAP has denied time and again since severing ties with the Barisan Alternatif alliance formed to contest the 1999 general elections (with disastrous results for the DAP).
In the vernacular press, a confident BN trumpets a win with a greater majority for the by-election today with quips that the DAP candidate will hopefully lose his deposit. My question to these BN hypocrites is this - if you have so much confidence, why peddle an old tune of an alleged DAP-PAS secret pact?
Shouldn't your theme that only BN can deliver development and goodies be enough to give you a hands-down victory?
Don't you have local issues to peddle except to accuse the DAP of being devoid of local issues and focusing on national ones? Stooping so low means you neither have the moral values that you seek to instill among Malaysians nor have the guts to fight an even fight.
After three years of Pak Lah's so-called reformist government, the country is certainly taking a turn for the worse. Where are all those promises the BN has made? Sure, the stock market may be at an all-time high but does it benefit the man in the street? Or does this only benefit institutional investors and foreign investors?
It is high time the rakyat wakes up and realises what has happened. Do we need this kind of government which has dished out no better a treatment than the previous administration?
