  • With the nation recently so focused on the Machap and the Ijok by-elections, we are failing to see the real crime that is being committed right in front of our eyes. The MIC have become the lap dogs of our current government.

If S Samy Vellu is a champion of Indians in this country, I call on him to resign. The reason? Plenty. As I write this letter, a mother is sitting in detention, missing her child and her husband and being coerced into accepting a religion that she does not clearly want.

They have extended her remand for another 80 days, but our good old politicians from the Barisan Nasional are sitting in their air-conditioned rooms, wearing their foreign ties, trying to think of ways to win the Ijok by-election.

What is the use of the MIC party? Are they supposed to represent the Indians or merely be a default party for the Indians who do not know better? But then again, sometimes its hard to blame these guys.

Remember what happened to S Sothinathan when he voiced out about the medical school situation in Russia? And in contrast, nothing has happened to Nazri Abdul Aziz who shouted 'racist' an infinite number of times in Parliament or to our keris-wielding education minister. Thanks for the education, dude.

I call on MIC to pull out from the current BN coalition. Wait a minute, who am I kidding? This is Malaysia. This is Visit Malaysia 2007. We call on tourists to visit our country where all the races from different walks of lives live happily ever after, just like Snow White did.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
