With reference to the letter Samy has done a lot for the community , I wonder if the writer is aware of the plight of the Indians in Malaysia.

Yes, I have heard that MIC president S Samy Vellu hands out money to those who approach him for help (peanuts actually) in settling utility bills, small loans, etc. But what is this compared to the wealth he and his relatives have accumulated for themselves at the expense of the Indians? Are the Indians aware of his wealth?

The mass media is controlled by Barisan Nasional so ministers are always painted in glowing terms. I have relatives in Perth who tell me that he owns properties there, also in India. Can we check that out?

Tell me what has happened to the South Indian Labour Fund and the Maika shares and Sampoorna? Are Indians aware of these funds? Ask Samy. He has first-hand knowledge.

Why has gangsterism risen among the Indians? Among the three major races in Malaysia, the Indian position has gone from bad to worse. Samy, do not blame it on Anwar Ibrahim. You are the longest-serving minister and if you had the slightest decency left in you, you should have resigned in protest because your hands are tied in having to serve your lord and master, the Ummoputras.

Please, I wish that no one else will write about how good Samy and gang are. Their actions have spoken louder than their words.
