I refer to the Malaysiakini report Gerakan tells gov't: Consider royal commission .

If we allow the judiciary to be manipulated by people in high places, then I fear that justice will be a rare commodity for all law-abiding citizens in Malaysia.

We have only one option if we want to bring about change and that is to vote out the present government which has failed us for the best part of 50 years. As you all know, one of the component parties of the Barisan Nasional, ie, Gerakan held its general assembly just two days ago.

Koh Tsu Koon and his party members spoke out against corruption within the government and pressed the authorities to hold a royal commission with regards to the Lingam tape saga. However, Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi appeared to be unperturbed and even avoided questions from the press at the Gerakan assembly.

My question to all Gerakan members is this - should your masters within the Barisan Nasional decide not to act on your suggestions and complaints, what will be your next course of action?

If you are all sincere and still have principals and a sense of decency, then I would strongly urge all of you to leave the government to join the opposition as you would have more dignity in that respect.
