My heart was warmed when I read the touching story of the little Tee Hui Yee's story. Indeed, my tears flow as I read this touching real-life drama.

Firstly, there was this miraculous heart donor from a Malay boy in Ipoh. I could see that the mentality of life-saving attitude really transcends race barrier in Malaysia. Secondly, the sacrificial hard work of the team of heart surgeons, majority of whom are Malays, really sends the message to the entire world that we Malaysians, are indeed one race and one nation.

Unfortunately, Hui Yee's system rejected the first heart. But when the second heart was available, the team of the tired Malay heart specialists, quickly assembled again to carry out their sacred duty that surpassed race and creeds. Their efforts must receive the strong applause of all Malaysians.

In another scenario, we see the different races in this country quarrel and throw muds at each other to claim their rights. Some even wave the Malay 'keris' threatened to hurt, maim and kill. Religions cut a distinct line that separate all of us that nowadays, various racial and religious festivals are not celebrated by all Malaysians except the concerned group. We must then ask why is it so?

When we are in the sport stadium, Malaysians from all walks of lives scream and yell in support of our beloved Malaysian players no matter who they are. We are proud of our nation. Once we are out of the stadium, each of the Malaysian is back to their ugly thoughts and thinking. I think the main culprits are the politicians of the country who are experts in playing and stirring up racial and religious issues for their own political gains. They are selfish and short-sighted.

The time is ripe now for all Malaysians - Malays, Chinese, Indians, and others - to be united now to throw out all these trouble-making politicians and yet mutually respecting each other's religion, language, culture and practice.
