The nasty and inhuman treatment that Abdul Malek Hussin received while under ISA detention would make every conscientious Malaysian blush with shame. It has gone beyond any acceptable torture limit.

How could we point our fingers at the atrocities of other rogue regimes in the world when our own penal system itself is questionable (if not outright disgusting)?

It seems that hardly anything goes on well in our nation. If the judicial, executive and law-enforcing institutions are already fast decaying, what else can we hope for? Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Fifty years of progress, so our leaders claim. Really?

It is time to wake up, Malaysians!
