I refer to the Malaysiakini report, Ali Rustam: PPP can leave BN - now .

PPP has been insulted by a senior member of Umno who was the guest of honour, and the party true to the BN spirit decides to remain silent for the sake of peace and unity.

Ali Rustam, who is no small fry in Umno, and upon consultation with the deputy prime minister, has chosen fighting words while officiating a PPP event. He came as a guest and leaves after spitting at the host.

I wonder if all the other component parties subservient to Umno is as timid as PPP. What stops them from pulling out of the BN and paving the way for mass exodus leading the way for non-race based parties?

After all, Ali Rustam said it would not make a difference.
