In the words of Bruce Barton, "One reason why big apples are at the top of the basket is because a lot of little apples are keeping them up there." Who are these little apples? They are the self-centred ones. They claim to be religious, upright and so forth, but lack the will to stand against wrongdoings that occur in front of their eyes. They are cowards who hide behind terms like "peace-loving people".

Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart; for his purity, by definition, is unassailable.What people say behind your back is your standing in the community. You only have power over people so long as you don't take everything away from them. But when you've robbed a man of everything, he's no longer in your power - he's free again.

If you don't have the courage to stand against injustice, fine - but don't question the courage of others. As Malcolm X, the great black Muslim leader said, "Power in defence of freedom is greater than power on behalf of tyranny and oppression."
