This is in response to M Sankaran's letter Samy Vellu, stop blaming others .
While acknowledging Samy's various atrocious qualities as party leader, minister, politician, Indian representative and even as a human being, Sankaran seems to think that Samy is still somehow qualified to lead and represent the Indian community. Sankaran has suggested that Samy replace his buffoons with new blood. Does Sankaran believe that these new buffoons would do any better in advancing the Indian’s socioeconomic future with Samy remaining as the head honcho? When a fish rots, the rot starts at the head, my friend.
It beggars belief that an individual who has spent 29 years as a minister and 28 years as MIC president can still face the Indian community unashamedly with more blatant lies in the face of their ongoing abject poverty, marginalisation and discrimination by the Umno-led Barisan Nasional, whom he deifies. He has failed miserably in all capacities. Samy has never and will never have the guts or ability to restore Indian Malaysians’ dignity, fundamental human rights and civil liberties within the context of the Federal Constitution.
Sankaran seems to be giving sugarcoated advice to Samy in asking him to change his errant ways. He also appears to concur with Samy's excuse of having minions who have neither any idea nor the inclination to advance the Indian agenda within the Federal Constitution, as asserted by Hindraf. Sankaran also seems to imply that Samy should steadfastly remain in his position of privilege to continue his "thug clan" reign over MIC albeit with the "injection of fresh blood." How this will bring any change to MIC and to Indians in general is beyond me.
I am amazed that despite Samy's abominable track record and string of failures including the mismanagement of public funds, Sankaran is of the opinion that Samy should continue his execrable hegemony over the Indian Malaysian community. Sankaran chooses to feign ignorance of the simple, glaring truth - Samy the traitor, must leave! Period.
