I am in full agreement with KP Samy about all those things he said about the MIC and its president and Maika. S Samy Vellu should go and wind up MIC. There is no need or room for argument about it. The party has outlived its purpose, failing the community miserably in the process.

But I disagree with KP Samy about BN's role. Regardless of race and religion, the government's role (I am, of course, talking about a proper government) is to alleviate poverty, provide fair and equitable distribution of wealth and provide equal opportunities for all its citizens in employment education and business.

Was that not the core basis and intention of the NEP? What happened?

The BN, in the eyes of the Indians, has failed them with the consent, participation, and connivance of the MIC and its president. Setting up committees at this stage is an obsolete move and pure nonsense.

There are hundreds of memoranda submitted by so many concerned groups about the Indian situation. What happened to all of them? Besides, the Economic Planning Unit, the Treasury and all the other relevant agencies have all the statistics they need about the plight of all the communities in Malaysia.

Pretences and acting are not going to work any more. The people of Malaysia have grown up. This view applies to all, not just the Indians.
