The seven successful habits of S Samy Vellu

1. Motivation: Because the Indians knew he was so hopeless in helping them overcome quota systems and racial polarisation, they had to work very hard to obtain tertiary education.

2. Leadership : He kept so much knowledge to himself that there is hardly any evidence that he mentored other leaders within the MIC.

3. Honour: He has brought so much honour to a foreign land like India, as he created so many projects in India that have given so many jobs to many people in India but not to Malaysian Indians.

4. Intelligence: He continues to support the cause of Indian schools, rather than Indian language programmes in government schools because with more Indians going to Tamil school they will get left behind and will be unable to compete with other races. As a result, his leadership will remain unchallenged.

5. Willpower: Even the great Dr Mahathir Mohamad had to give up his position as the prime minister. But no matter how many terms Samy Vellu has already served, he has vowed to carry on in power.

6. Empowerment: Because he suppressed so many Indian leaders through lawsuits or threats, he indirectly created Hindraf.

7. Training: Since he hasn't defended any Indian youths who were detained in a police lock-up, Samy Vellu has indirectly trained the Malaysian police to think of Indians as expendable.
