I am appalled to read news report of EPF's involvement in the purchasing of unsubscribed Time dotCom Bhd shares. On what basis does the EPF board act? The EPF is not a charity organisation; its funds belong to 9.7 million contributors! How can the fund invest in something which is so undersubscribed? Who is going to bear the loss of more than 70 sen per share? This is a gross misuse of public funds!

We are fed up with the EPF being used to save Umnoputras; this is our money, earned with our own sweat and toil. What right does the policymakers have to use this sweat money of ours to save one Halim Saad or one Tajudin Ramli from being a pauper? Perhaps the experience of being a pauper and having to live from hand to mouth like the majority of the rakyat will toughen them up to be more prudent in their management!

How do you guys there up on the EPF board make such a decision and sleep with ease at night? Have the guts to do your job without fear or favour and assert yourself for the sake of 9.7 million contributors whose life savings are in your hands!
