Shahrizat, why are some Malays still begging?

I can think of a few reasons why the people of Pantai Dalam should reject incumbent Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and vote in Nurul Izzah Anwar, a fresh face who is not totally new to politics because she was already thrown into it after her father Anwar Ibrahim was subjected to a dubious conviction by a court of law (correct, correct, correct, says Lingam in the background).

While Nurul Izzah can represent the middle-class of Pantai by asking all the hard questions in Parliament including details of expenses by Shahrizat's ministry as highlighted by the Auditor- General, the plight of the poor section of the constituency too cannot ignore the calls by Nurul Izzah.

The voters there should not worry if Nurul wins as DBKL and the Federal Government would not simply victimise an area next to KL Sentral and Midvalley.. While Shahrizat is an outsider, Nurul Izzah looks very genuine when she goes to meet people in the various kampung there.

While Shahrizat, as minister for women, family and community development, is claiming to have done this and that, we all know that we, especially the Malays, are embarrassed to find blind Malay beggars everywhere.

Shahrizat can't be naive enough to say that these Malays are already getting monthly allowances. She should find out why these people are still going around begging. Is it due to greed or the allowance are nowhere near their monthly expenses which they need to send children to schools and to buy basic essentials.

Also, in her passionate fight for more women decision-makers, Shahrizat seems to run counter to the true concept of family development in which a woman's best place is still the house especially one with many young children.

Or is she going to condemn Nurul Izzah, who has a master's degree from the John Hopkins University, for ‘wasting’ her time caring for her child.

Finally, the people of Pantai Dalam and the Auditor-General should question Shahrizat for misusing public funds by publishing and priting free-of-charge the Nur magazine which comes once a month with the Utusan Malaysia. It contains nothing but her picture on almost every page.

If that is not abuse of power, I don't know what else is.
