That the ISA has been used against the reformasi activists is no surprise to me at all, the only surprise has been that, that draconian piece of legislature, a relic of the colonial fight against communism, is used only now.

At the risk of sounding ridiculous, why use the ISA if the police have evidence of the activists' wrongdoing?

Perhaps justice-loving Malaysians will once again prove to the powers that be that the call for change has been heard and though those in the forefront of this struggle have been unjustly detained, the struggle will continue and come 2004 the tides of change will not be denied by unjust means.
