The police have come out with a statement that everyone in PKR is trying to confuse the issue of Anwar Ibrahim's alleged sodomy case.
But the public look at the police as the people who are trying to confuse them in this case. The police have not been consistent in the handling of many issues.
I, for one, feel that if you were to conduct an independent poll, you'll find that most Malaysians find that Anwar's case is related to the Altantuya case, to the possibility of him becoming prime minister in mid-September, and to the state of the current federal government.
This case against Anwar has become a brazen attempt by the government in cohorts with the police to fix up Anwar for fear that he will unseat them from their ivory towers and give all Malaysians a victory against tyranny, injustice and police brutality.
It is the fear of being called to account that has forced this government to attempt to lock Anwar up.
If he comes to power the corrupt judiciary will be called to account, if he come to power the corrupt police force will be called to account, if he comes to power the attorney-general and members of his chambers will be called to account.
Those in the attorney-general’s chambers and the police force have to understand that if they keep quiet and carry out illegal orders, they become accessories to the crime and are criminal in their actions.
Senior ministers past and present will also be called to account, including even the prime minister, his son-in law and the rest of the jing-bang.
One person who is extremely worried is Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammed, the former prime minister and the architect of this current state of affairs in the country. His son who is in parliament is saying all kinds of things to try and justify or cover up his father’s wrongdoings.
What is being sought now is the truth and any professional will know that in the quest for the truth, no stone must be left unturned lest innocent men be found guilty of crimes they have not committed.
