Yes, the fight of the two ladies is on. I am certain the loser is going to cry and be bitter about the entire experience.

Rafidah went into hiding after receiving a hiding for Napsiah Omar some years back. She cried and she hid, she cried when Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced he was leaving, and now she has come out with all guns blazing to defend herself, looking like a real aggressor.

Rafidah should practice what she preaches. I am told she was one of those who were against Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's transition plan. Now, why does she want to have one for herself too?

Accusations continue to be made on her role in awarding APs to her relatives and only last week one was made in parliament. The Umno Wanite membership does not seem to have the confidence in her as has been shown by the nominations Shahrizat Abdul Jalil received even after her initial announcement not to stand.

The fact that after Rafidah announced her so-called ‘transition plan’ there have been nominations for a another deputy and nominations for Shahrizat to take on the oresidency of Umno Wanita means that Rafidah does not have the support of all in the Wanita wing.

If Umno is a democracy then the fight should go on but after what happened to the Umno presidency it is abundantly clear that Umno is not democratic.

Umno elections should involve every Umno member for it is the de facto election of the prime minster and the deputy prime minister. Other BN parties should sit up and take a look if they are supposed to be equal partners.

‘But when it comes to the PM and DPM, shut up, that is our piece of cake,' seems to be the message from Umno to the the rest in BN and Malaysians at large.

‘Bumiputera or no bumiputera, the post of the Malaysian PM is only for Umno. Sarawakians and Sabahans take note. Moreover, many of you are Christians and you have no place up there, understand.’ Social contract? What social contract?

I have strayed. Returning to the Wanita Umno table, the loser will weep and wail come what may. Shahrizat received a reprieve from Abdullah after losing in the last elections; she is his blue-eyed girl.

So let’s wait and see come March 2009 for will there another tsunami , especially with the Dr Mahathir Mohamad threatening to reveal all those involved in money politics for the deputy presidency.

One wonders if he will reveal all what happened during his time too, and how some of those he is threatening to reveal now were the very ones involved in money politics to save his own skin too.

Why has he to wait, why has he to threaten (blackmail)? Why doesn’t he not just come out and make his accusations head on and see what happens? That is because he is a sly leader who loves to do just that - threaten.
