Israeli army the Mid-East's greatest terror agent

I am disheartened to see the criticism of the mainstream media of certain Malaysian non-Muslims in the Internet over the Gaza attack and invasion by Israel. It is very illogical to consider Israel and Palestine as equal sparring partners. Hamas is an elected representative of all Palestinians in Gaza.

It is equally upsetting to see so-called peace-loving Malaysians who assume both sides are equal in strength and special advantages. When you vote, you consider good governance and public participation as part of the fundamentals in securing civility and social justice.

You scream at your MPs when taxpayers’ money is being used without the Average Joe's consultation. You protest at the usage of the ISA that allows detention purely based on suspicion without any chance of trial. You accuse conspiracies and corruption when concessionaires providing public services fail to live up to their mark and hide all their agreements under the OSA.

But you scorn at Hamas, which is the only champion of the Palestinian’s struggle, whose land, livelihood and heritage have been taken away without any consultation. You skipped the pages of sufferings of hundreds of thousands of orphans and widows whose fathers and husbands were secretly detained on baseless security grounds.

You brush aside the secrecy of the government that keeps the highest number of the most destructive weapons and spy devices on earth per capita, and instead make commotion on home-made tiny rockets which do not go far.

Most disturbing to me as a Malaysian Muslim is that these kinds of people see this war as an equal spar between two equal forces. No way. The other half is bent on doing harm to a place of worship (Masjidil Aqsa, third holiest place in Islam) that is revered by my faithful community worldwide.

And some human right activists and self-appointed commentators have a deep prejudice against angry, yet peace-loving Malaysian Muslims who demonstrate against Israel.

There has never been a win-win situation for cease-fire terms. Israel gets to upgrade their weapons of destruction and maintain the status quo of control over West Bank and the economic blockade of Gaza while Palestinians get to make do with the little bit of humanitarian supplies that they get without being bombed alive in broad daylight.

Hamas, as elected representative of the Gazans, were furious at this tilted terms, with Israelis intruding into their territories on their own terms (that 'terror' must be cleansed, and even the city council worker and street sweeper plays a role under Hamas grassroots network). Why can't Palestinians intrude into the areas that Israel unilaterally stole from them in the first place? The Israeli army itself is the greatest terror and blood-spilling agent (death per capita) in the Middle East.

Now, the ceasefire has ended. The Israeli army gets to fire all of their US-supplied skin-ripping guided missiles onto the entire Gaza population and Palestinian civilians get blocked from crossing over into Gaza to get emergency medical supplies and treatments.

People are murdered while praying to God in a holy place of worship. And then certain people have the guts to question why Sept 11 occurred in the first place.

There is no solution other than recognising the Palestinian's right of return to the invaded lands, and letting the Palestinians have the power to govern themselves. Any less than that is equal to say, ‘Hey, it is okay to come here and invade my place and cook my children alive’ and tantamount to a breach of basic human rights, Lesson 101
