I am no fan of our PM and in fact very critical of his actions in the domestic political scene, but I feel credit should be given where it is due. It is noteworthy of him to bluntly tell the Americans that they cannot expect terror to cease if they continue to turn a blind eye to the 'excesses' of the Israelis in the Middle East.

After watching the CNN coverage of the 'Strike Against Terror', I am now less critical of the role of our local mainstream media. If the Americans who so eloquently try to promote press freedom elsewhere in the world yet have within their society a medium that sweeps that ideal under the carpet in the name of solidarity behind the president, what can we expect of our mainstream media when their strings are pulled by their political masters?

Although CNN does try to give some coverage to the Taliban, the slant in their reporting is all too obvious.
