I refer to the Malaysiakini report T he political rape of Elizabeth Wong .

Many of us are of the strong opinion that Elizabeth Wong should not resign which would be tantamount to a sign of defeat.

It would then set the precedent for more such inhuman methods of making quick money at the expense of damaging and scarring good people's reputation and morality.

Such smears by some scum of the earth are traumatising and embarrassing to the victim but each time this happens and if the victim relents and gives in, it will only make such despicable acts more prevalent for those out on a 'character assassination' spree or wanting to make quick money.

What goes on in the privacy of one's room is none of anybody's business. If people like Mohd Khir Toyo and our very honourable home minister have nothing sympathetic to say about the suffering of a powerless and good woman, they could be more consoling by just keeping quiet and not uttering rubbish.

Don't be sarcastic and hurt the victim more. Don't you have human feelings or you are such a perfect human being to cast a stone at others?

We are seeing very unscrupulous tactics and methods used by politicians to gain lost ground or make some impact on the political scene. It seems to get bolder and more vicious by the day.

If no swift action is taken to prevent such despicable acts, then one tends to believe the country is giving way to anarchistic tendencies.

Elizabeth Wong, you have committed no crime and must stand firm like Teresa Kok. It is not going to be easy but your good leadership qualities and your generous heart will see you through this temporary setback to your political career.

Please do not disappoint us. Take time off to get it over with. Bad leaders are a dime a dozen but good ones are scarce. You belong to the latter category.

The evil forces and sore losers will always find ways to target helpless and defenceless women and will not hesitate to intrude into your privacy. These people are a total disgrace to the human race.
