Go-Go girls: Zahid 'talking nonsense'

vox populi big thumbnail ‘If he doesn't know much about the Chinese culture, then please shut up. I am a Chinese and I got very upset reading his statement. He is talking nonsense.’

On BN's sexy girls fish for votes l VIDEO (2 mins)

Johsua Mah: I think Ahmad Zahid's statement is a misrepresentation of Chinese culture.

I am absolutely upset by such an extremely unwise statement.

His statement sounds as if the Chinese are a low-class race who only love to drink and watch performances by sexy, beautiful girls.

I have to say that his statement is absolutely disgusting and demeaning to the Chinese culture.

If he doesn't know much about the Chinese culture, then please shut up.

I am a Chinese and I got very upset reading his statement. He is talking nonsense.

To the MCA, please don't portray the Chinese as low-class citizens of Malaysia whose culture is drinking, eating and watching sexy, beautiful girls performing.

Please be responsible for what you have done. I 100 percent believe that many Chinese who read Zahid’s statement are as upset as me.

Zahid and MCA, please be professional and mature.

Insulted: I felt so ashamed and insulted when Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that it is the culture of Chinese to have sexy girls dancing on the stage.

It clearly shows that he knows nothing about Chinese culture.

If Zahid Hamidi enjoys watching sexy girls dancing, please just say so.

Do not say that it is the Chinese culture. It is a new Western culture in case Zahid Hamidi doesn't know.

Sritharan Palanisamy:

The person(s) who were responsible for staging the act of these Go-Go girls dance have really bad taste and have underestimated the priorities of the locals.

Furthermore, they have not only insulted not only the constituents’ intelligence but also their dignity.

Due to this blunder, the organisers not only lost the cost involved to organise this show but also are bound to lose a significant number of votes in protest of this Go-Go girls show.

Whether a particular event is part of a community’s culture or not, it should first be assessed as to its relevance to the main agenda.

Just because you think a Go-Go girls show is part of the Chinese community’s culture, will you have the same show at a Chinese primary school’s prize-giving ceremony?

I Love USJ: It is really funny to hear Ahmad Zahid Hamidi make such comment that the event he attended is a budaya Cina.

Does he really know budaya Cina in Malaysia? Please do not associate the Chinese culture with sexy dancing girls.

From the dresses and the songs they sang, there is not a single thing that is associated with Chinese culture.

I hope that MCA leaders will help to educate Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on what is real Chinese culture.

Please. Please do not make fun of Chinese culture just to win votes.

I really do not want other Chinese around the world to look down on Chinese Malaysians thinking that sexy dancing girls are their ‘culture’ in Malaysia.

Please set the record right and respect the Chinese culture.

On Muhyiddin: We need more time to woo Chinese voters

Vivian Lim:

The voters in Bkt Gantang, Bkt Selambau and Batang Ai must realise this - Umno/ BN have not changed for the better.

The only new thing is that they kicked Pak Lah out, and he was actually one of the better guys.

The rest of the ‘changes’ are just a show to mislead voters. Do not be taken in by Umno's trickery.

How can they tell voters they have changed when their leaders ie Najib, Muhyiddin, Mahathir et al are all people who have been there for donkey’s years and are carrying on in much the same way.

None of them have shown any real signs of repentance. Najib has not done anything about the Altantuya case apart from trying his best to forcibly cover things up.

He took away democracy in Perak. They have not given up a single sen of their ill-gotten gains, they are not catching the real culprits in corruption - I guess they can't when it would mean giving themselves up.

They are keeping the ISA, and still use the police as their personal force, when it is the rakyat who pay the police to keep them safe.

Najib may have visited the Sin Chew office, but that is only for show. The racial quotas, repressive action against Christian literature are still there.

They have not outgrown that despicable practice of using the Chinese as the bogeyman to frighten the Malays into voting for them and as the fall guys to be blamed for poverty among some Malays.

The best way to make Umno really change is to not vote for them. The moment they have our votes, the arrogance will return, more money will be siphoned off, and we are back to being their doormats.

On Hindraf to back PKR's Manikumar

Barathi Tamil: What a relief! Glad to hear from Wathya. Why couldn’t Thanenthiran and Sanjay coordinate with him before they gave their statements.

We strongly support Wathya’s statement and glad our spirit is there.

I hope all Indian Malaysians will share the same common goals as outlined by what Wathya said.

We don’t want our votes split to BN’s advantage. We must be matured enough to vote for the Pakatan government.

Except for Kalaivanar who thinks he’s the hero of all. Why can’t he take instruction from his boss, DSAI?

If he thinks he’s good and can make his own decisions, then why not he join another party. He’s not capable to be a leader, this is what I would like to say.

Good Luck Manikumar, victory is ours. Hidup Makkal Sakthi!

On IGP explains ban on Altantuya

Rakyat Malaysia: Why now? Why not in Permatang Pauh or Kuala Terengganu?

At both these previous by-elections, court cases were already going on for Altantuya and Saiful Bukari.

Why not make the ban then, why now? Mr IGP, you want to bodek the new PM, is it? Your job is secured. Don’tworry!

On Opposition banned from raising Altantuya

Peter Ooi: Firstly, I am amused by the ban imposed by the police on raising the Altantuya murder case in their ceramah.

The reason given was it is a sensitive issue. Ha!Ha!Ha!

Who are sensitive to Altantuya's murder? The Malays? Chinese? Indians?

But I do know that one person is very sensitive to the name Altantuya. The whole world knows who it is. Needless for me to give the answer.

On Ganesan: I'm the Obama of M'sia

I Love USJ:

I guess S Ganesan missed the whole point of what happened in the US when Barack Obama won the US Presidential elections.

It is not just about coming from a poor family but more about changing history to be the first African American to be the president of the US.

No one could imagine that an African American would win the election.

This is the phenomenon about Barack Obama. If S Ganesan wants to associate with a US president who comes from a poor family, then associating with Abraham Lincoln will be more accurate.

If he really wants to call himself the Obama of Malaysia, then be the first Indian prime minister of Malaysia.

Then he can call himself Barack S Ganesan Obama all he wants. Now the real question is, does S Ganesan have what it takes to make history?
