Kelantan prince Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra today lodged a police report against his wife Manohara Odelia Pinot over her claims that he had raped, tortured and imprisoned her during their nine months of marriage.

The report was lodged at the Dang Wangi police station this evening by Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, accompanied by his lawyer, Mohd Haaziq Pillay.

At a 8pm packed press conference in Mandarin Oriental hotel following the lodging of the report, Mohd Haaziq said the prince denied all claims made by Manohara and her mother Daisy Fajarina.

The press meet was however attended by Mohd Soberi Shafii, the prince's friend who had been briefing the media on behalf of the prince.

Manohara had made a dramatic escape from him while they were in Singapore last week to return to her family in Jakarta.

Since then she had been in the Indonesian media on a daily basis following her claims of being sexually and physically abused by her husband.

Yesterday, Manohara lodged a police report against her husband as well as against the Kelantan sultan, his wife and five others for abusing her.

The brief 8-minute press conference today was attended by more than 40 journalists, almost half were from Indonesia.

Mohd Haaziq however refused to elaborate on his client's denial in specific claims made by Manohara.

"You will know soon who is lying," he said, adding that Tengku Muhammad will soon be filing a defamation suit against Manohara, Daisy and "all other person who had been lying".

When contacted, Dang Wangi police chief Zulkarnain Abdul Rahman confirmed that the report was made at 7pm.

He however said it was too early for the police to say under which laws the matter would be investigated.
