‘We might as well dissolve Parliament and let the speaker act as a one- man arbitrator and ombudsman and let the nation go to the dogs with his 'no debate' mentality.'
On Nizar and others kicked out of Parliament
Citizen Plain: I am a bit perplexed following the proceedings of parliament. It's quite obvious that the speaker is very partial.
But the ruling that got me off my chair was when the speaker ruled that he was satisfied with what the government was doing about the PKFZ issue and therefore there was no need to debate the issue.
Is it the Speaker who decides whether the government is doing a great job running the nation? Or is it the people through Parliament?
If these kind of things continue, we might as well dissolve Parliament and let the speaker act as a one- man arbitrator and ombudsman and let the nation go to the dogs with his 'no debate' mentality.
The speakers' off-session comments are also unprofessional and becoming personal.
Nizar For PM: The truth was told by this brave man - how could all the distinguished MPs meet at Parliment like nothing has happened whereas the Perak assembly is facing a crisis?
Until now the people are still angry over it. It's sad to see all those MPs keeping so quiet.
Not even one man wants to get involved so deeply - or rather dares to get involved - except Nizar.
He's not asking for the MB's job back but just wants to satisfy all Perakians with a fresh election.
This man shall become our leader in the near future and the people will stand behind him to make our nation great again.
Those ‘silence-is-golden guys', please don't shame your families.
On Rais reaps flak for 'sowing discord' at harvest festival
Blood-Native: Rais is grossly erroneous as to the truth of what happened and is happening in Sabah.
I think it's the ruling politicians who are sowing the seeds of discord among the people by using the divide and rule method.
Sabahans used to be so friendly, united and lived peacefully with one another.
Look at Sabah now. By using race and religion and turning on the uncontrolled migration tap, Sabah is now a totally different state from what it was 37 years ago.
The ethnic native races have become a pathetic minority and second-class citizens in their own homeland.
As a learned and one-time highly regarded man of law, Rais Yatim should understand and realise that what we have in Malaysia is not a democracy but an autocracy.
With the greed for wealth and power, anything and everything has become expendable. Sabah as a 'fixed-deposit' is an extremely useful piece in the 'power link'.
By using the 'carrot and the cane' approach, many Sabah leaders have been 'attracted' into their net.
Many have willingly sold themselves and worse still, their race, just to enjoy the benefits of power and wealth. God help them.
On Ex-Umno minister Zaid joins PKR
Doraisamy:
Great news! Welcome Zaid! Your presence not only strengthens Pakatan but will be a morale booster for other leaders who have been sidelined by BN.Pakatan is a multiracial party which will fight for all Malaysians. I would like to repeat: ‘All Malaysians'.
The times has come for one multiracial party instead of one racial party. I hope those who are ‘in- waiting ‘ will follow.
I hope Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah will also follow too.
On MB raps Zaid the 'wolf in sheep's clothing'
John Johnson:
I think Adnan Yaakob should just shut his mouth. People are free to join any party that represents the true meaning of equality, freedom and fairness and this is definitely PKR.It is time for people like Adnan to make way for the new generation. We have seen each Datuk pocketing three to four million each on government projects.
It's no wonder the Barisan government doesn't want to let go; there's too much at stake. Lots of money up for grabs.
Please don't be a sour grape and blame Zaid Ibrahim. He is one person with a lot of substance and integrity.
And he definitely has more guts than all of you put together.
Kaisim:
I do not think it is fair to call Zaid a 'wolf in sheep's clothing'.In fact, Malaysia really needs men of such guts who dare to speak up for all Malaysians.
This even to the extent of hurting some Umno members in the cabinet. This is the man who knows the difference between right and wrong.
I salute this man who can make Malaysia proud one day. There should be more people like Zaid who care for the people and nation.
Unfortunately, the country is governed by some men of dubious character who are only interested in enriching themselves.
They want to keep corruption, non-transparency and the ISA indefinitely.
If BN can accept the three ‘frogs' in Perak, there is nothing wrong for Zaid to join PKR. Why fume over his decision and called him a 'wolf in sheep`s clothing`?
Malaysia is a democratic country. Any one can quit the party and join the opposition if he feels that his party is not doing the right thing.
The Pahang MB is also welcome to join PKR when he is thrown out of Umno one day.
On Berserk mother storms classroom, slaps kid
Concerned Mother:
I was reading this letter and was thinking about the boy who was bullied and victimised in school, kicked and abused. Not a thought was given to this boy who was hurting with his self esteem being destroyed everyday.
I am the mother of a a school-going child and I can understand what the bullied boy was facing. The trauma of having to go to school every day and facing bullies.
Of having whatever self-esteem left destroyed slowly day by day, ending up with lifelong emotional scars.
I, too, have had the urge every time I hear my son go through the trauma of going to his school and picking up bullies by the collar and giving him a good thrashing.
Parents should teach their children from young to respect another human being.
This also goes for teachers in our schools who don't seem to know how to treat children as they should.
