Soi Lek expelled

your say "Whatever his misconduct, MCA delegates exonerated Chua when he was elected deputy president... Apparently MCA leaders do not know how to respect the opinion of their own delegates."

Dr. Jacob George : Surprised that in Malaysia, we have so many self-righteous individuals all throwing stones as if they have never sinned! This action against Chua has nothing to do with the charge against him for which he has already paid a price when he resigned from all posts. But the delegates gave him a reprieve. Those whose hands are seriously tainted violated their decision! With this action MCA has confirmed her irrelevance!

Bosco Philip Anthony : The decision of the board is a defining moment and MCA will eventually become redundant.

Winson Lee : It is better for a leader with a sex scandal to resign and stay out of the public eye. MCA does not need tainted leaders, even good ones like Chua. Let Ong take charge of the MCA as he is without taint and has MCA's support.

Loyal Malaysian : This is a witch hunt, nothing less! Why was he expelled after being made Deputy President? I'm not a supporter of his or of the MCA, but it saddens me that such an ineffectual party is now wrecked by internal strife! Their political masters must be smacking their lips in glee!!!

Kbgan : Isn't this a politically stupid move when Ong is facing a win or die battle with Tiong? Does he need to create another battlefront at this time? Ong needs the backlash now like he needs a hole in the head. Or is Ong thinking, before I go, I'll pull down my deputy first? The writing is on the wall for Ong.

R2D2 : Nothing much has changed since the days of Yap Ah Loy as far as MCA is concerned. Guess the same can be said about Umno. Ho-hum...

Selvarajoo M: Why can't Ong find a better excuse? Using the excuse of sex scandal and immorality? Ong and his gang have been digging their own grave all this while and now this could be the beginning of their own burial ceremony. Ong has created more and more enemies including many he doesn't even know ever since he came into power. How he lacks political wisdom and experience!

Sunil: Dear Chua Soi Lek: You were a principled man when you resigned immediately after the scandal was exposed. But your members wanted you back in the fold and they elected you. Stand tall and be proud that you are a leader that was sought after by your members. You have been a victim of a power crazy leader who feels insecure especially when his scandal was exposed. You know what best to do.

Wira: Whatever Chua's misconduct, MCA delegates exonerated Chua when he was elected deputy president in an election which happened after the full blown sex scandal where Chua resigned all his government positions. Apparently MCA leaders do not know how to respect the opinion of their own delegates. This party is doomed to collapse.

Myop101 : It is all the same to me. The sooner the party self-destructs the better. Seriously, a bunch of hypocrites pretending to be morally righteous isn't exactly an award winning performance. People, please get a better script...

Michael Lim: Why can't Ong just work with Chua? He is not there because he demanded for it but was voted in by delegates. Why is MCA so eager to finish him off and not focus their energy to regain the confidence of the people? By getting rid of Chua, would that mean the party will recover respect support and confident of the Chinese? I don't think so.

Chua has at least owned up to his shortcomings and resigned from cabinet and the party. Is making use of facilities like Tiong's private plane less immoral then sex?

Victor: He deserves to be sacked. The story ends here. Immoral leaders are not for the 21st century. We want ethical leaders.
