Samy vs Mahathir: Better than a Bollywood epic

vox populi small thumbnail ‘Is Samy going to run from tree to tree in an exotic Kedah setting? I can't wait for the next exciting instalment.'

MIC boss: I was seen as an 'asset' during victories

Lim Chong Leong : Drawing an analogy of husband and wife to the partnership in BN is not appropriate. In a husband and wife relationship, it is only about keeping faithful and being sincere towards one another. In politics, it is about being popular with the masses. If you are not, then you are a liability.

All senior leaders in all the established democracies have taken responsibility for defeat in the polls. S Samy Vellu has not. Koh Tsu Koon is even worse.

C Frankland : This is better than any Bollywood epic! Is Samy going to run from tree to tree in an exotic Kedah setting? I can't wait for the next exciting instalment.

Yum : I wonder when Indian leaders will stop the Bollywood theatrics of pawning their political allegiance. Is it any wonder then that Indians are still economically backward if your MIC delegate can allegedly be bought with RM300?

Malaysian Indians need to start anew. The old formula didn't work. Maybe your future is with Pakatan Rakyat. What's there to lose? You already lost, after all these years.

A night without stars for seven years

Malaysianrights : As long as humans are judged based on skin, language, religion and the like, the world is not safe. That doesn't mean locking up somebody without trial is fair. Double standards still prevail.

Eddy : Norlaila Othman, besides going to a press conference to denounce the ISA maybe you should also make sure that your husband in future does not indulge in activities that are detrimental to the security and safety of this country. Just be thankful to God Almighty that your prayers have been answered and that you will celebrate this Raya with your husband.

Lahore San : He never was involved in anything "detrimental to the security and the safety of this country". This just a fabrication by this untrustworthy government and its supporters. Maybe you should save your pontificating drivel for the PKFZ criminals.

Popping floors make condo owners hopping mad

Asian Malaysian: The theory that this was caused by the expansion and contraction of concrete and tiles because of temperature differences seems most plausible to me.

I've seen these happen in old buildings like the Arab-Malaysian Building on Jalan Raja Chulan. It doesn't prove that the building will be collapsing anytime soon but it's not a good sign.

Cheng Ooi: Don't be fooled by the developer again. Since when do tiles need air for breathing? A buildings which is under-strength structurally deflects under load. To what extent until it fails? Only God or a civil engineer will know.

Myop101 : I wonder if the developer is willing to stake their lives by living there to prove it is not a structural issue (if they are so adamant to claim it is not). It is to their benefit if they engage professionals to check and fix the problems and allay the residents' fears arising from this.

Their rapid response would only earn them a good reputation and help them in their future projects.
