'On the way to reform'... really? Then how come Isa Samad was selected as the candidate for the Bagan Pinang by-election? How come the Approved Permit system still can't be changed?1) Your home minister ridiculously coming to the defence of the outrageous 'cow-head' protestors.
2) Your fielding of a corrupt Isa Samad and calling it a 'technical matter'.
3) Delaying approval for the Umno AGM media coverage by independent news agencies.
4) Your defence minister, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, bribing the people at the army camp for votes.
That's four I could think of in two minutes. I'm sure other readers have heaps more.
Gov't aid to continue for Malays: PM
Azmil Tayeb: Najib Razak is talking big. Why don't you debate the NEP with Anwar Ibrahim? Who says the Malays don't have enough and still needs 'crutches'?
Look at their mansions, big cars and the diamonds and gold on their spouses. Also the shareholdings, licences, etc, given to them.
The non-Malays are getting poorer. What is so wrong for Anwar to extend help to all poor Malaysians, which has not been done by BN?
Call Me Jibby: Are you, Najib, repackaging the NEP? I don't mind poor Malays buying cheaper houses, getting scholarships, special treatment, etc.
But the NEP was created for the rich to become richer. How many common Malays get an Approved Permit?
The APs are distributed to the same multimillionaires every year. Contracts, businesses and shares are given to those close link to powerful relatives or friends.
Did any common Malay get contracts and businesses opportunities without the help of a closely- linked individual? You (Najib) are just helping yourself and those who are close to you, not the hardcore poor Malay.
Malayamuda: If the government only wants to help one particular race, then it's only fair that only that one race supports and votes for the government.
The government should not rely on votes from the people they don't prefer to help.
EGM: One hour to pass 41 amendments
Gk: One hour to pass 41 amendments? Super fast. They are either super efficient or super inefficient. I hope this is not what they do in Parliament and the state assemblies.
PVC: Yes! That is the way to reduce corruption - by increasing the number of party delegates from 2,510 to 146,500.
In my opinion, only after the corruption level is reduced at the party level can we fight against corruption at the national level.
So far, this is the first good thing that Umno has done this year.
