Ong's duty is to tell us 'the truth'

your say ‘Yes, Ong Tee Keat must tell us the ‘truth’. If the ‘truth’ is so powerful, it is Ong’s duty to let the Chinese community know. He must tell us all. Tell the ‘truth’ for all to hear.’

EGM 2: Ong's last gamble

Ghkok: ‘Under pressure, Ong suddenly issued a threat: ‘Stop pressuring me, don't force me to reveal the truth!’ His words send chills down the spines of members, who fell silent.’

Wah...just like in a Hong Kong movie. I am now very, very curious about the ‘truth’. Ong Tee Keat must tell us the ‘truth’.

If the ‘truth’ is so powerful, it is Ong’s duty to let the Chinese community know. He must tell us all.

Better still, Ong must step down - and then tell the ‘truth’ for all to hear.

Suhaimi Said: Rupa-rupanya ‘kuasa’ tidak mengenali ‘kawan’ dan ‘lawan’ dan Umno akan pijak kepala semua pemimpin MCA.

Apatah lagi jika Ong Tee Keat dikalahkan kerana isu Port Klang Free Zon belum terdedah kesemuanya lalgi.

Tan Hoe Een: As said before, Ong Tee Keat was elected by the same delegates that elected Chua Soi Lek.

If Ong had no stomach for Chua as his deputy as so chosen by the very same delegates, he should have declined the MCA presidency.

A case of you cannot choose your parents so neither in this respect, your deputy. A great majority of us Chinese would have supported Ong to the brink if Chua ‘dirtied’ himself again intentionally or otherwise after being elected.

But what happened before was already known already factored in when the election took place. The best solution for many like me is to go back to the members and stop repeating the same mistake.

If again both are re-elected to the same positions then give due respect to a democratic outcome whatever it is.

Ong should learn by now that so-called friends are not friends and so-called enemies are not enemies.

It is what is in-between at a certain time and place as what it is now being played out now - politics.

Cala: Let me be clear. First, let us stop accusing Liow Tiong Lai as a man who betrayed his party boss by demanding for Ong Tee kKeat's resignation.

Was it not true that Ong had said he would step down from the MCA presidency if he were to lose in the EGM?

What is so wrong if some in the central committee are prepared to take over the reins from Ong?

It was very cruel of Ong to have twisted the facts and instead accuse Liow and his gang for backstabbing him.

Second, when Peng Dehuai reminded Mao Zedong of the total failure of the ‘Great Leap forward’ at a party conference, Mao turned around and accused Peng of sabotage.

Peng was later sacked from all party posts. Mao went on to drum up supports from amongst schoolchildren and peasants and later destroyed the entire institutional arrangements.

Is Ong trying to emulate Mao here by going direct to the grassroots for sympathy and...?

What's This?: Ong Tee Keat's problems are all his own doing. Overly confident, he became cocky and arrogant thinking the MCA central committee and his supporters would back him all the way.

What a miscalculation. All his knowledge of Tsun Tsu’s ‘Art of War’ comes to nought.

He forgot that in politics there are no permanent friends nor permanent enemies. Ong, honour your words and quit.

Cheah Tien Eang: His (Ong’s) word should be his bond. This is an attribute of a leader that should be steadfastly adhered to.

As Ong had promised to resign after losing the EGM’s vote of no-confidence, he should step down regardless. Who takes over is immaterial to him.

You are politically dead when the majority of your party no longer trust your leadership. So the current fiasco that MCA is embroiled in is a result of Ong's refusal to step down. Period.

Yew Kim Keong: It is good that this happened. It shows who are the hypocrites and who are the traitors.

Like the majority of the Malaysians, I am in favour of Ong Tee Kiat continuing as MCA's president.

I wish to ask Chua Soi Lek to retire and Liow Tiong Lai and all the rest who betrayed the MCA president to resign.
