'Thanks Ezam for helping PKR'

vox populi small thumbnail 'He was a thorn in the side causing the constituents of his constituency to get angry with PKR on account of his behaviour and inefficiency.'

Ezam: We will defend Badrul

Disgusted: Good riddance to bad rubbish. Nobody in Pakatan is making an issue of this useless fellow leaving.

It is Umno together with Badrul Hisham Abdullah, Ezam Mohd Noor and others who are getting excited in ‘rubbish' being discarded by PKR and blowing their trumpets about their success and at the same time bad- mouthing Anwar Ibrahim, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Khalid Ibrahim and PKR.

Badrul's resignation is insignificant to PKR and in fact, it is a relief for the party that he left. He was a thorn in the side causing the constituents of his constituency to get angry with PKR on account of his behaviour and inefficiency.

Zubir: Good. Very, very, good. So now we now who is behind Badrul Hisham Abdullah's defection. With this revelation and Ezam Mohd Noor's role, it will make things easier to tarnish Badrul.

Being a former Shah Alam PKR member duing Ezam's reign, Badrul has been used by Ezam to bring him (Ezam) back into mainstream politics. Ezam is nobody now and he badly needs something to make him popular again.

Umno has dumbed him down and he is alone. Badrul is finished now. Without Badrul, PKR will be better off in the future. Thanks Ezam for helping PKR. Continue with your good work!

Nedunchelian Vengu: Ezam is untrustworthy. We are seeing his dubious moves from the ‘reformasi' days. Twists and turns all the way.

Ezam is an example of a man without principles. If he goes to Port Klang, the PKR Youth and the rakyat will throw him into the sea! So he better watch out!

Ipoh police, we're fed-up with your statistics

Rumi Manecksha: ‘Where are the police when they are needed?' Obviously assembled at the Perak state assembly to grab the legitimate speaker's gown.

Ck: The police in Perak have lost their identity. They are being unprofessional and not taking care of the ordinary people.

They are now taking instructions from 'you-know-who' to harass the Pakatan Rakyat reps and to a certain extent attack the Pakatan reps as well.

Now, who is the rightful authority to maintain peace in Perak? The police? Not anymore.

Ong: The undeniable fact that illegal gated communities are proliferating all over our towns and cities is a clear indictment against our police. They have failed miserably in carrying out their basic duties for which they are being paid to perform.

Besides bearing the burden of their salaries, we now also bear the burden of protecting ourselves against criminals.

Stop trying to convert us non-drinkers

Bosco Philip Anthony: Wanting to drink or not to drink alcohol is a subjective matter. It is a choice that an individual has to make. Everyone knows too much of everything is bad. When a rule is made, it is done objectively.

So the preachers are wasting their time hoping to change the mindset of people who desire to do what they in the first place have decided to do. The more enforcement you put into it, the more they will be inclined to go against it. So let sleeping dogs lie.

Maggie Lim: Learn self-control. Guide your children. Imposing all kinds of bans will only make alcohol more exciting. They will find a way to get it somehow just as in countries where it is sold underground illegally at exorbitant prices.

I don't encourage people to smoke or drink but not by banning. Instead educate them of the dangers. Education is always the best way.

Teetotaller: You are free to drink or not drink. It is a choice one makes. Drinking alcohol does not make one an alcoholic. The vast majority of people who drink are not alcoholics - or who grope and rape women.

Many who drink wine during meals, toast with champagne at weddings and who enjoy a long cool beer on a hot Sunday afternoon are perfectly decent human beings - some are even proud Christians and proud Buddhists and proud Hindus.

They do not all have to be atheists. To each his own I say. And do not generalise from selected personal experience.
