'Show us some backbone, Gerakan'

vox populi small thumbnail 'Gerakan need not use the Internet to engage the young voters. Just show us that they can ensure an open and fair handling of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), Lingam tape, A Kugan and Teoh Boon Hock cases.'

Teng wonders aloud: Quit calls linked to PKFZ?

The: Gerakan need not use the Internet to engage the young voters. Just show us that they can ensure an open and fair handling of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), Lingam tape, A Kugan and Teoh Boon Hock cases.

Show us that you have the guts to make sure that Umno does not sweep these cases under the carpet. Show us some backbone.

Lim Chong Leong: (Gerakan president) Koh Tsu Koon is a nobody. He has absolutely no effect on the PKFZ investigation or even its cover-up. Teng Hock Nan, stop trying to spin and borrow some weight from the PKFZ investigation to make it look like Koh is still in some ways relevant.

Truth is, he is the biggest apple polisher from Dr Mahathir Mohamad's times and he is doing the same thing with Najib Abdul Razak.

Batu Kawan: Dr Teng, don't try to protect your president. The truth is in what MP of Sri Gading said, which is if you have lost the support of the people, just leave.

The people of Penang and Batu Kawan have rejected Koh Tsu Koon. Why try to spin and link it to PKFZ? It's the same for you as you have also been rejected by the people of Penang, so just leave.

Voter 1001 : Gerakan is finished in Penang. Just face it. Stop whining.

Final judgment: Nizar wants 11-member Federal Court bench

Anak Desa: We frevently hope and pray that the Federal Court would give a fair, transparent and responsible judgment by allowing Perakians to decide on their government of the day instead of letting outsiders interpret the situation.

Former judge NH Chan's assessment on the situation , and of judges who make blunders in their judgments, were to the point. Let the people of Perak decide through the ballot boxes and have their say.

If Najib Razak has the ‘the thing' in him, he should have the guts to let the Perak assembly to dissolve and get a verdict from the people.

Habib RAK: An American oil company - being sued for several billions for pollution by one of the South American countries - has used a simple defense. They are saying the judiciary is pro- establishment and highly corrupt.

An international panel, who were discussing this case, collectively agree that the independence of the judiciary there is suspect and any ruling against the American oil company will not get any international support.

The Malaysian judiciary is heading in the same direction. Should the ruling go against Nizar Jamaluddin, I fear that this may be the final nail in our judiciary's coffin. We will lose all respect of the international community in addition to it being a disrespect to all Malaysians.

Malaysian for Malaysia: We live in country with an ‘elected dictator'. The judiciary, executive and legislative aren't at all independent. It would definitely surprise me if the Federal Court actually rules in favour of Nizar.

I'd be surprised if he was even granted the full 11-member bench. Najib cannot take such a risk and he won't. No, he's yellow-bellied just like all the Umno leaders - never going anywhere without they're bodyguards and deluding themselves into believing the people actually support them. Worse still are their even more delusional supporters who blindly believe everything they read in the newspapers and what they watch on TV.

One day the people, especially the youth of this nation, will give them a reality check and when then happens, all the money in the world will not be able to save them from the wrath of people.

Wanita MCA backs Chew, urges all CC members to quit

Teropong Halus: Why is the Wanita chief urging others to resign from the MCA central committee? Why isn't she herself resigning from the CC? She should lead by example.

Wait a minute... she is in the CC by virtue of being the Wanita head. If she resigns, she has to quit her Wanita post too. She is not willing to give that up, is she?

She asks others to resign but she herself won't take the lead? She should quit first then ask others to follow. Now we know what kind of leader she is.

'Even Zakaria was better than Badrul'

Maggie Lim: Umno needs to stop accepting rotten apples like him or rejects from PKR or Pakatan Rakyat. The people will reject them for sure come the next election. Pakatan needs to show the people that it has leaders with integrity, not crooks.
