'Gov't protecting the rich and powerful'

vox populi small thumbnail 'The wheels of the government perform for the powerful and the connected only. The rakyat are let down at the end and the top fellows act as though the tax ringgit belongs to Umno/BN.'

Lingam morally wrong, legally clean: Nazri

Rocky: I'll not use swear words like you, Nazri Abdul Aziz, but go take a hike, okay. We know what is happening. we are not dumb nor blind nor deaf nor stupid. ‘Rakyat didahulukan dan pencapaian diutamakan' my foot.

The powerful are protected and the wheels of the government perform for the powerful and the connected only. The rakyat are let down at the end and the top fellows act as though the tax ringgit comes from their grandfathers or belongs to Umno/BN. Go fly kites, you rude minister.

Probe 'forgetful' Ling over PKFZ scandal

Jimmy Ng: Ling Liong Sik feigning amnesia (‘selective forgetfulness'!) is not going to let him get off scot-free. The rakyat of today are no longer Malaysians ‘yang mudah lupa'.

Anybody who has amassed his or her wealth through illegal means and at the expense of the nation, taxpayers and rakyat should be considered a traitor to this country, no? The authorities should freeze their assets and confiscate the passports of these crooks.

Do not allow them the opportunity to transfer their ill-gotten gains to a safe haven abroad. Imagine, ‘big fishes' like them are allowed to move about freely. Memang ‘Bolehland' at work and at play.

Bapak Toyol: Ling Liong Sik is feigning amnesia now just like his previous boss Dr Mahathir Mohamad who also feigned amnesia when he was questioned during lawyer VK Lingam's royal commission of inquiry.

BN trio file suit against Selcat

Wira: Selcat is one of the best things that happened to Selangor in years. Please regulate it, if necessary, by amending the state constitution. Pakatan Rakyat still has the necessary two-thirds majority in the state assembly to do so.

Ong Guan Sin: Another attempt to use the judiciary to interfere with the state assembly business. Are we now burying the ethos of separation of powers for good?

Tony K: Smart move. Use the courts and hope to win. Chances are good if they given the right set of judges. So now we are no longer having separation of powers but make the legislature subject to judiciary. Malaysia ‘memang boleh'.

Protesters demand Badrul's resignation

Malay: Kick this fellow out of PKR. For his attitude and behaviour, it is best for him to join Umno. Throw all the ‘Umno sayang' fellows from PKR. Good move by the PKR Youth.

Jim James: Another one bites the dust. PKR should get rid of these jokers and pretenders. There are many individuals in PKR in pursuit of money and shiny objects.

SMK: Yup, I believe this is the way forward to deal with ‘frogs'. They are not only cheaters but also without morals.

By doing this, we could stop corruption among all MPs while being fair to the voters who have only a once in five years chance to voice their dissatisfaction with ‘frogs'. This is truly a good move. Let's join hands to say ‘tak nak to katak'.

Chandrasekar Krishnasamy: This is only cheap publicity for PKR's own survival. Come and do it in Ipoh and also in Lunas. Why did PKR bring back Saifuddin Nasution (the MP for Machang) and still retains Zulkifli Noordin (the MP for Kulim) so shamelessly? So what are you complaining about?

'You can keep dreaming, Pairin'

Frankie Tan: Joseph Pairin Kitingan, you and your brother are a disgrace to all Sabahans especially your very own community, the Kadazandusuns. That's right. What have you done during your tenure as deputy chief minister?

You are a ‘frog' now unable to move a muscle. Too many dirty projects in hand. A slight twist will see the MACC coming after you

SMK: Pairin, you and your brother are famed for being ‘frogs' and I'm just wondering how could you have neglected the state when you were the chief minister. Now you are only a deputy chief minister and you hope to change this issue.

Chandrasekar Krishnasamy: Pairin has been a great leader for the local Kadazandusuns. He is still their Paramount Leader or ‘Huguan Siou'. The problem is that we need to understand his limits and jurisdictions. What is that of the federal government is not that of the state.
