'RPK is the only one who has, against all odds, fought back which is so much more than any Malaysian would do. RPK tells the truth. That's the problem. That's why they want to get him.'
RPK discharged but not acquitted over sedition
Concerned Citizen: Raja Petra Kamarudin is chicken - a coward. Come out and face them if you are telling the truth. He writes a lot of things on his blog but does not dare to stand by his allegations. His words used to be the gospel to many but I now doubt the truth of what he writes.
Americk Sidhu: Dear 'Concerned Citizen'. Where have you been for the past 50 years? You say RPK is a chicken, a coward? How many times have you been dragged into police stations for interrogation?
How many times have you been sent to the Kamunting Detention Camp and incarcerated for no reason? How many times have you been forcibly separated from your wife and children not knowing when you will be reunited with them?
How many times have you had to dodge clandestine police raiding parties which rip your home apart looking for non-existent incriminating evidence? And which prosecuting authority do you have faith in?
The MACC? The Special Branch? The Attorney-General's Chambers? The Royal Malaysian Police force? You have got to be kidding!
RPK is the only one who has, against all odds, fought back each time, which is so much more than any Malaysian would do and you call him chicken? RPK tells the truth. That's the problem. That's why they want to get him.
Freemsia: Raja Petra Kamarudin a chicken? You must be kidding. This man is the only man I know who has the guts and the steel to actually reveal the truth to topple a corrupted regime run by Umno. As far as I know, he is someone who represents many of us who dare not go out and do what he does.
This guy has got to be the bravest dude. And yes, it would have been an honour to shake his hand. Long live RPK!
Orand Cina UK: He may be staying in Wales where he has uncles, cousins and aunties. He should continue his struggle to bring down the BN government from overseas, wherever he is.
He will surely get a lot of international support. Would love to shake his hand one day. I wish him good luck.
Dr Jacob George: A loving husband, a dedicated father, a socially-conscious individual and a good, decent friend. The nation needs more of his kind.
Tan Teng Wah: With public perception over the independence of the judiciary sadly leaning towards the negative end nearing zero, is it that necessary for RPK to be found and be brought to court?
Or is it more to humiliate him more than anything else? If the prosecution has a strong case and the evidence is overwhelmingly abundant, RPK's defence would be demolished easily even if he is not in court.
On the other hand, if RPK puts up a good defence and makes the prosecution team look like fools, who could safely say he will be acquitted? This is not about justice but vengeance- seeking!
Bosco Philip Anthony: Maybe RPK has been given tacit approval to stay in hiding. Either that or we have a police force of incapable men.
SP Choudry: In the case of private investigator P Balasubramaniam who went missing, they (the police) knew his whereabouts and went to him to record a statement. But in this case, they can't locate RPK.
Either that or they don't want to locate him in order to make sure that he doesn't return home out of fear of being arrested.
Karrlos: The prosecution team cannot find him or doesn't want to find him
Sudevan: Go, RPK, go!
