The 37-year-old mother of four was held under the preventive law for nearly two months over her alleged links with the Malaysian Mujahidin Group (KMM).
Sejahratul, arrested along with 13 others on April 18, is the wife of Yazid Sufaat, another ISA detainee who was held for his alleged links to Jemaah Islamiah.
Jemaah Islamiah was said to be a secret cell of KMM, linked to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terror network, which aimed to overthrow Southeast Asian governments through violence and convert their respective countries into Islamic states.
Sejahratul's release was confirmed by her lawyers this evening but no further details were available.
According to an international news agency AFP report which quoted Home Affairs Ministry officials, the IT company director was given a conditional release.
The release came ahead of a court verdict due tomorrow on her habeas corpus application against her detention. Habeas corpus is a writ to determine whether a person's detention is lawful.
Her husband, who allegedly housed two of the suspected hijackers involved in the Sept 11 attacks on the United States, is being held for two years at the Kamunting detention centre in Perak.
