Tears once again flowed at the Nirvana Memorial Park in Semenyih as Teoh Beng Hock's family gathered to bid him a final goodbye.

NONE The DAP political aide's remains had been exhumed on Saturday for a second post-mortem to be conducted. This took place at the Sungai Buloh hospital on Sunday.

This morning, led by elder brother Beng Kee, his family offered a tearful farewell before the coffin was lowered into the ground about 10.15am.

Teoh's parents were not present at the burial site due to custom, but were waiting in a temple within the vicinity.

Also present was DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang, Teoh's former employer and Selangor exco Ean Yong Hian Wah and Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng.

Nirvana Memorial Park's in-house feng shui consultant Master Phillip Wong told the Chinese media that today is an auspicious day and Teoh's soul would be able to rest in peace.

During the first burial, Teoh's coffin was lowered into the grave with red ropes, symbolising the quest for justice.

This time around, the coffin was lowered with normal ropes and strewn with white flowers to portray purity.

Teoh's remains were also dressed in a brand new suit.

'Murderers must be punished'

Beng Hock's younger sister Lee Lan ( below ), who usually acted as the spokesperson for the family, had little to say after the ceremony.

NONE "We are a little more at ease now that he is finally laid to rest. We hope the truth will prevail and the murderers will be punished," she said.

The exhumation was done following the expert testimony of Thailand's Dr Porntip Rojanasunand who believed Beng Hock's death was likely "80 percent homicide and 20 percent suicide".

This prompted his family to request for a second post-mortem, which was performed by a local pathologist, as required by law, and observed by Porntip.

It is uncertain when the autopsy report will be released. Family members were briefed by Porntip but are tight-lipped about the findings.

"Let's wait for the inquest to resume," Beng Kee again told reporters today. The inquest into Beng Hock's death will resume on Dec 9.

Exco: Najib must act

Beng Hock was found dead on the fifth-floor landing of Plaza Masalam, Shah Alam, hours after he had apparently plunged to his death from the ninth floor, where he was interrogated by the Selangor branch of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

NONE Though the MACC alluded that Beng Hock might have committed suicide but his family vehemently refuted this and insisted that foul play was involved.

Beng Hock was to have formalised his marriage on the day of his death to school teacher Soh Cher Wei, who is six months pregnant with his son.

Meanwhile, Beng Hock's former employer Ean Yong Hian Wah told reporters that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak must show the world that his administration can bring those who caused Beng Hock's death to justice.

"If he fails to do so, it means any Malaysian can become the next victim of MACC," said Ean Yong, who is also a member of Selangor state cabinet.
