'Tee Beng, say goodbye to your political career'

your say 'Pakatan and the people have no need for self-serving opportunists such as these. We voted in March 2008 to purge the country of such people, regardless of party affiliation.'

Tee Beng quits PKR, Zul Noordin stays put for now

Tan Kian Khim: So far, the only people I can immediately recall who have resigned from a party with integrity, grace and dignity are Zaid Ibrahim and Chua Jui Meng .

Unfortunately, self-serving (but self-righteous) frogs like the Perak three (ex-PKR members Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Osman Jailu, and former DAP leader Hee Yit Foong), Badrul Hisham Abdullah , Zahrain Mohd Hashim , Tan Tee Beng (and soon, Zul Noordin) seem to be the norm rather than the exception.

Pakatan Rakyat and the people have no need for self-serving opportunists such as these. We voted in March 2008 to purge the country of such people, regardless of party affiliation.

Pakatan gained tremendous electoral ground because of the people's desire to see better governance and to be rid of the corrupt and racist Umno-BN regime. We are realistic enough to accept that Pakatan is not perfect, but it is at least willing to rectify its shortcomings when these appear, unlike Umno-BN, which would rather shoot the messenger and the plaintiff than admit its own rotten conduct.

So thank you for weeding yourself out, and good riddance.

Alexander Yuan: Two words for you, Tan Tee Beng: "Zai Jian" (Goodbye). Not because you left PKR, but to your political career.

AkuMelayu: Pakatan is a sinking 'tongkang' (boat). The captains are well-prepared with their "luxury life boats", leaving all their passengers behind without any life jackets. Jump! passengers, jump!

Poppy: We told you so . Serves Pakatan right for picking this ‘Ah Beng' and for not kicking him out earlier. Everyone said that kicking him out could only be good for PKR, but who listened?

Anyway, good riddance. That's the end of his ‘promising' career. A one-hit wonder, as they say in the music industry. I hope he lives long enough to enjoy his ill-gotten wealth.

Lucia: Former Penang deputy chief minister I Mohd Fairus Khairuddin joined Umno - good! (Former PKR sec-gen) Salehuddin Hashim and Tan leaving PKR - fantastic!

Eugene : The more of these self-serving politicians are gotten rid off, the better our country's future will be. I only wish the process speeds up. All such politicians can jump over to BN for all I care. We would have clear choice of who should lead Malaysia.

Rayfire: Didn't this guy apologise last week for defying the party? Anyway, it's good that he has decided to leave. Please convince (Wangsa Maju MP) Wee Choo Keong and (Kulim Bandar Baru MP) Zulkifli to join you as well.

We need to rid Pakatan of all frogs and lalang .

Ferdtan: ‘Ah Beng' has finally decided to leave in spite of his so-called apology to the party, accompanied by none other than ex-secretary-general Salehuddin - who was also in the Zahrain's press conference when the latter quit - saying that he was there to give moral support to a good friend.

It seems that you Salehudin makes friends easily with turncoats. So who's next? Zul? Wee Choo Keong? Please make our day. Resign now.

Karma: That is the end of Tan Tee Beng's political career. From the looks and script of the whole episode, Tan is just being lazy in serving the people. He wanted to make some noise, be in the news and then quit. Six months later, he may join Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) or Gerakan. We hope PCM will pick up all the rubbish.

So far, he has not shown any proof of his allegation against (Penang chief minister) Lim Guan Eng. Now that he is an independent, no party rules apply to him. We feel bad for Nibong Tebal voters who had voted for PKR.

Avatar: Thank you, God, for showing all the bad hats in PKR before the 13 th general election. Your way of eradicating all these ‘bad fellows' from PKR, the party will truly be a more responsive party serving the ultimate aim of what it was formed to carry out.

Kgen: This is the second best news I've heard after (Bayan Baru MP) Zahrain Mohd Hashim. Now, if only Zulkifli Nordin will follow suit, my joy would be complete.

That Zul is a smart one. He wants to be sacked instead of resigning on his own. Then I suppose he can go round and cry how badly he has been treated and get a better price from Umno.

Chipmunk: Anwar Ibrahim, I suggest you ‘re-screen' all PKR representatives before any more of such shameful acts continue, as they will look bad on PKR/Pakatan. Knowing BN/Umno, they will use this to their advantage.

Inspector Closseau: Tee Beng, you are finished as far as the next election is concerned. All other potential frogs in Pakatan, please follow Zahrain and Tee Beng out. We in Penang will ensure that Pakatan will still control Penang at the next general election with an even bigger majority and more seats.

David: Don't just quit the party. Let go of the (Nibong Tebal) parliamentary seat you won on PKR ticket, too. Or are you too chicken to do so?

DC: So you are now an independent. If you join BN, you are just another frog. If you maintain your independence for the sake of the people, then you may mean something and for the constituency that you represent.

Is your mandate based on what the people gave you or your political affiliation? It's about promoting the interests of the masses, not your individual goals.

BTN: God is great. These frogs will do no good for Pakatan. Let Allah expose more of such frogs before Pakatan's final march to Putrajaya.
