'It's a wonder how someone who tells you ‘you're an idiot and are no good to society unless you wear a crutch' can continue to be held up high on a pedestal as a leader.'
Ahmad Iqhbal: Ibrahim Ali, you talk of the constitution as if it were more powerful than the Quran. The constitution has been changed so many times by the BN government over its 50-year reign that the constitution itself is nothing more than a legalisation of racism.
I hope and pray that at the next general election, the opposition gains greater than two-thirds majority so that it can repeal all the misdeeds that have been inflicted on our constitution. It only goes to prove the BN is in government only for (its members' interests) itself and to hold on to power any way it can. Enshrining racism into the constitution is repulsive. I hope someone teaches BN a lesson in humility.
I also believe Malaysia is the only ‘democracy' where people are hauled away and locked up under the guise of national security, which BN is okay with.
Good luck to you, Ibrahim. With people like you championing the Malay cause, the Malays should be worried.
Quigonbond: I agree that Ibrahim is not a racist. A racist is someone who protects his own race. In his case, what Ibrahim is protecting is only Umno, not all Malays or bumiputeras.
Ibrahim is really a traitor to his race and religion for viewing them as intolerant, backwards, incapable of fending for themselves or competing on equal terms with the rest of civilisation.
It's a wonder how someone who tells you ‘you're an idiot and are no good to the society unless you wear a crutch' can continue to be held up high on a pedestal as a leader. Leaders like him put Malaysia to shame.
Multi Racial: Well, what he means is just completely the opposite of what he has explained. Obviously he is doing this for his own political career. Look around there are many Malaysians living in poverty including many Malays. Why is he not fighting for these people? Why fight for all Malays especially many of those are rich and powerful? He is definitely racist. Otherwise how do you definite racist?
CK Chong: I've just finished dinner with six other Malaysians - including three Malays who really 'panas hati' (angry) with the stupid and numbskull Ibrahim who is wasting too much time trying to create falsehoods with the nation to moving backwards, while all our neighbours ar moving forward. Malaysiakini should not give this 'kepala katak' any space to voice his hatred for fellow Malaysians.
Singa Pura Pura: Until the day Allah takes you away, Ibrahim Ali, you will not be satiated unless each and every single non-Malay and non-Muslim Malaysian has been either exterminated or exiled from this land. If that is your Perkasa's anointed interpretation of the tenets of Islam and of Malay rights and privileges vis-a-vis the Federal Constitution, then so be it.
You will never be convinced that Malaysia is One. ‘One Malaysians' will have to wait for you to pass from this world and, if need be, for your children and your children's children to pass on too. Malaysia is worth the wait.
Your wall will come down one day. (And please stop saying, ‘Don't ask me that, ask Umno. Nothing to do with me.' Who doesn't know that your Perkasa is taking the hard stand so that Umno can take the soft one.)
Patrick: I find it difficult for Ibrahim Ali to believe that he is not a racist, and at the same time, find it amusing how he terms other people as racist. The act of integrating culture (or asking for equality) is a racist act while championing the rights of a single race isn't? He really knows how to pull an argument, doesn't he?
Avatar: Right under Ibrahim's nose, the BN is cheating the Kelantanese of their rightful oil royalty, but this fat frog has nothing to say about it. He chooses only to attack and ridicule the opposition, especially Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar may lose opposition leader's role
Quigonbond: BN will try to play the racial card again if DAP as the current biggest bloc in Parliament become opposition leader. Pakatan Rakyat should pre-empt this.
Beetle: Hello, remember the rotation system in Sabah? The CM (chief minister) post was rotated amongst the Malay, Chinese and Kadazandusun every two years. Does the Chinese or the Kadazandusun party have the majority seats then? Obviously no. So what's the big deal. Even the PM can be form any party as long as he commands the majority support. Isn't this how democracy works?
Sodom -me Sodom-you: Whatever technical issues Barisan may throw, I am sure Pakatan will make the necessary adaptations to keep Anwar at the helm. There is only one hope for this nation. We must fight to defend it.
Sarawakian: It's only a technical issue. If it really becomes an issue, the easiest thing to do is for someone to resign from say DAP and join PKR. No case as the AG's Office and MACC is fond of saying.
Ghkok: They came to his house with submachine guns to arrest him. And then they brought him to Bukit Aman. There they kicked him in the back and whacked him in the eye. Then they put him through a show trial and humiliated him with all sorts of allegations. Finally, they put him to suffer in jail for six years.
Now, they are putting him through another show trial and showing VCDs of him in prison. When is this nonsense going to stop?
Ferdtan: Didn't Anwar Ibrahim go for spinal surgery in Germany? If people are still not satisfied, then they should go and ask his German doctor.
Tan Chee Kiong: People with back problem knows how it is like. At times, you may feel alright, but certain times, the pain is unbearable. I hope these people who are trying to discredit Anwar suffer the same fate so that they know how bad it is.
Uthaya, MIC slam Pakatan's 'unfulfilled promises'
Thena: Pakatan Rakyat states have done more for the Indian community in the last two years than the MIC had done in 52 years. MIC screwed up the Indian community.
Why pick on Pakatan states? What about other states? The government was supposed to have helped the Indian community by way of Telekom and Tenaga Nasional shares. What happened to that? Land and low-cost houses.
You can't expect miracles in two years.
Maddy: We Indians have seen this S Samy Vellu for the past 30 years doing nothing. That's why we support P Uthayakumar's call for Pakatan to give Indians their due, like land for schools and temples.
Malayamuda: So Uthayakumar doesn't bother about Indians in BN states?
Gandhi: Samy Vellu is long on lies and short on facts. He found the opportunity to echo Uthayakumar's call for the Pakatan states to look into the Indian poor.
But what did Samy do during BN rule in these states when there were demolitions of temples and Tamil schools were neglected? Truth and Samy are the opposite. The question that is bothering every Indian is why he is still in politics.
Leave and enjoy your sunset days with all your immense wealth. Uthayakumar will go down in history, but not you, Samy.
Kgen: Uthayakumar's renewed attrition against Pakatan is a desperate attempt to stop sliding into political obsolescence. He has lost Indian support and the door to political self-glory is about to be shut in his face. Neither Hindraf nor Human Rights Party have been able to muster any meaningful crowd to bolster his political ambitions.
As for his tired old arguments, he is beginning to sound like a broken and irritating record. Pakatan does not need to answer his banal accusations. Let actions speak louder than words. Why not go and bug BN, Uthaya? Pakatan does not owe you or any community a living.
