'Let them try their luck. After that they will realise that a party for one race cannot do any thing. Even if HRP wins, they cannot change the arrogant Umno and BN.'
HRP puts off decision, keeps 'em guessing
Dr Krishna: HRP (Human Rights Party) has no chance in Hulu Selangor, but they might be the spoiler. Do not worry, this is a democratic country. Let them try their luck. After that, they will realise that a party for one race cannot do any thing.
Even if HRP wins, they cannot change the arrogant Umno and BN. We should not consider candidate by race. The only aspect we have to see is the candidate's acceptance by all voters of Hulu Selangor.
Kgen: The HRP candidate will lose his deposit so it's going to be a humiliating loss. A candidate needs 1/8 of the votes cast or 12.5 percent to keep his deposit.
Assuming the best case scenario that the Indian vote is split equally between BN, Pakatan Rakyat and HRP (I know this is very generous to HRP but bear with me), the poor fellow will only get 6.3 percent of the votes from the 19 percent Indian voters.
To be realistic, I think he will only get a few hundred votes. This Hardcore Racist Party needs it drummed into their thick heads that you cannot win any seat in Malaysia on Indian votes alone.
1M'sia?: I hope P Uthayakumar will support the two-party system that has come about after the Hindraf rally of 2007. The deliberate racist policies of Umno/BN, with the collusion of S Samy Vellu/MIC, has marginalised the Indian Malaysians.
Uthaya/Hindraf has done a good job of highlighting and educating the Indians of this ‘apartheid'. So, please do not spoil this new enlightenment by confusing the Indians. Remember Bagan Pinang when Uthaya/Hindraf failed to give the Indian voters the proper direction and they ended up voting for Umno/BN.
Anwar's charm offensive vs Hulu Selangor Indians
Gibran: We must not derail the process of the emergence of a two-party system. Whether it is Pakatan or HRP, it is our political responsibility to ensure that a two-party system emerges. For the first time in 50 years we finally see a strong opposition.
Jiminy Qrikert: The fact is the Pakatan Rakyat government is doing more for the rakyat, regardless of race, than BN ever did. Go down to the ground and you will know.
Bozuka: Here goes Anwar Ibrahim. Playing the same tune again and again that Indian are treated badly by BN. What difference does it make with Pakatan? Pakatan went ful -force when it comes to Teoh Beng Hock's death unlike with A Kugan's death in jail.
Hindraf to debate Article 153 - in British Parliament
2genMalaysian : Keep going, sir. I wish I had a hundredth of the guts you have. I am an Indian but I wish that Hindraf will fight for all Malaysians. Otherwise, Hindraf is no different from the racist devils we already have.
The truth is, poverty exists in all communities and therefore the struggle should reflect that. Pakatan has been in power in four states for only two years and we cannot demand changes overnight.
Mydin Kutty: This is a bold challenge to Ibrahim Ali's Perkasa. Only Hindraf leaders would have such boldness. Unfortunately, Pakatan's supremo deals with rejects and moles.
Magnus: "It's time that the Malays and Sabahan and Sarawakian natives to stand up and ask their leaders what have happened to the money. Why isn't it in their pockets?" he asked.
Bingo! Let's invite all to this debate to understand how those "good Muslims" in Umno have fooled the entire rakyat since 1969 through an impotent muzzled press and a cowed emasculated judiciary.
Gov't to update data on wealth distribution by race
Wfcoolie : While we are on that issue, can Miti (Ministry of Trade and Industry) put on public record all those shares that had been given to the bumiputeras under the special arrangements of listed companies since NEP was put into action? List all APs (approved permits) since they were issued?
List all companies that require bumi participation of 30 percent and 51 percent according to the ROC (Registrar of Companies). This should also include Petronas income and all GLCs, of which at least 85 percent of their incomes are for the benefits of NEP policy. Give the public a run-down on those sums.
Rocky: Yes, show us the raw data. And please calculate at current share prices, not par value. Also state how much shares Malays have sold... because the wealth must has gone somewhere especially as so many seem to be much better off.
Gibran: Who will believe the government study? How accurate is it? Did you include Daim Zainuddin's wealth, Mahathir Mohamad's family's wealth as well as other past and present government servants?
