Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein announced today that street crimes and the crimes index nationwide have been cut down by 40 and 15 percent, respectively.

This, he was reported as saying by Bernama , was a direct result of the government’s “revolutionary” and “out of the box” approach to tackling crime following the identification of National Key Results Area (NKRA) ‘initiatives’ to reduce crime under the Government Transformation Programme (GTP).
