The Information, Communication and Culture Ministry is seeking more than RM3 billion under the 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) to expand the country's broadband service.

Its secretary-general, Kamaruddin Siaraf, said the allocation for the purpose was necessary to enable Malaysia to compete at international level.
