Zero racism tolerance: Look who's talking

vox populi small thumbnail 'Take a no-nonsense approach to Perkasa's Ibrahim Ali and Utusan Malaysia. Till we see that happening, we will not be convinced by whatever you say for now.'

Najib: We must have zero tolerance for racism

Malaysiasakit: PM Najib Razak, do you expect us to take you seriously? While you go around peddling your ideals of zero tolerance and 1Malaysia ideas, your warlords in Umno are going around wreaking havoc.

One good example is the surau incident involving DAP MP Teo Nie Ching . Pray tell, what is wrong with a non-Muslim woman addressing a group of people in a surau. Isn't a surau an amenity to serve the local community? So why can't the community's representative address her constituents without having Utusan Malaysia blowing up the matter?

So, save your breath. Spend more time educating your party members on racial and religious tolerance.

Mr Eastoe: The country may be multiracial, but Najib is not from a multiracial party. So can you take his word as the truth? Supporting Perkasa itself is indicative of racism. Look who is talking about taking action on racist utterances.

Keturunan Malaysia: Be firm with the likes of Dr Mahathir Mohamad (for not retiring, at least his mouth, when he should have since Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's time) and your deputy prime minister (for not only flip-flopping but for his racist leanings, which is unbecoming of a DPM).

The moment you (Najib) are seen to be firm and moving unwaveringly forward, miracles can still happen for you.

Anonymous: Sorry Mr PM, even though what you say is noble but your deputy and Perkasa's Ibrahim Ali don't agree with you. What do you say?

Hamisu: Najib, I really want to believe you on this issue of racism. However, I just cannot bring myself to do that just yet. Why? I have not seen concrete steps to address this issue.

Those who have committed such acts are walking free still and they are more than happy to do it again. Perkasa is still at it, though somehow that slipped your radar. Many Umnoputras are doing it. Even your DPM is making racist remarks.

So, Najib, please make me a believer. I want to.

Loyal Malaysian: Action speaks louder than words, PM. As your administration continues to engage in double speak over the racist actions of provocateurs, the rakyat can only form one conclusion - you are all hypocrites.

Mohd Hazwan: My dear PM, the silent majority is waiting for you to take a no nonsense approach to Ibrahim Ali of Perkasa and Utusan Malaysia . Till we see that happening, we will not be convinced by whatever you say for now.

Singa Pura Pura: ‘Zero tolerance for racism' I hear. A perfect start would be to zero in on Mahathir, Muhyiddin Yassin and Ibrahim Ali (the Malaysian trinity of racism, aka the Father, Son and the Unholy). Sort them out first.

And while you are at it, let's also pass a Courts of Judicature Act 2010 to restore the judiciary. Make the attorney-general answerable to Parliament. Limit the inspector-general of police's post to one five-year term. Pass all the necessary legislation to de-couple the civil service from the government of the day, and emancipate the Election Commission and the Registrar of Societies from the same.

Charge all persons as recommended by the various royal commissions of the past. Not forgetting, the ‘pontianaks' that continue to suck this nation dry. Are we still game?

Al: I got zero tolerance for BS.

Reps deny impropriety over house purchase

A Voice From The Wilderness: What is so wrong if a bloke wants to buy a property if everything is above board. At least, this is unlike some BN leaders who were offered ‘special discounts' for their purchases of either a house or land. Just ask the white-haired ‘rajah' of Sarawak .

Myrights: A RM600,000 house in Penang is considered cheap and you can only get a double-storey terrace house in some remote location. Why is this even brought up? Can't politicians buy houses?

Now, why aren't people asking about the mansions owned by ex-Selangor menteri besar Mohd Khir Toyo, Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud or even Umno leader Mukhriz Mahathir? Their homes are many more times more expensive, so where did their money come from?

Logic: Even I own a RM600,000 house, what is the issue here? DAP and PKR reps can't own anything at all, is it? Why create news out of nothing?

Independent Malaysian: DAP, your representatives need to declare their assets. Suddenly all are getting rich after taking over the Penang government. Why?

FreeMalaysia: What about Khir Toyo's RM24 million Bali-themed mansion? And also ex-Klang municipal councillor, the late Zakaria Deros's palace, which has 21 bathrooms and 16 bedrooms? What about Taib Mahmud's empire stretching from Sarawak to Canada ?
