It could not be more blatant than this

your say 'BN is setting the stage to do an operation ‘ala Perak' after the next election by getting their man to be the state secretary.'

Khusrin's appointment 'not final', MB to seek audience

Wira: It is pretty obvious the federal government is going to put obstacles in the Selangor administration by placing a controversial person as head of the civil service in the state.

The people of Selangor must not be intimidated by such dirty tactics as we should remember that the senior civil servants of Perak also played a substantial role in the fall of the Pakatan Rakyat government there.

Armour Man: Mohd Khusrin Munawi's actions at Jais (Selangor Islamic Department) have been very out of sync with the Pakatan government and the rakyat of Selangor. He is possibly the worst choice for a Selangor state secretary.

How did the supposedly apolitical chief secretary come up with this decision? After consultation with the BN master no doubt. We also see Sultan Shariffudin Idris Shah being BN-inclined again. The one person most important, the MB, was not consulted. This is an affront to the rakyat of Selangor who has voted for Pakatan at the last election.

Pemerhati: If the Selangor MB is unable to get a state secretary of his choice he should not despair. As the head of the state he can allocate any duty to any officer in the state. He could remove the duties, where this Umno plant is likely to create mischief, and allocate them to a trusted officer.

He should then give Khusrim some work that would challenge his brain such as writing a paper on why organisations like Jais should be disbanded as their activities are unconstitutional and unIslamic since Islam says there is no compulsion in matters of worship and the Malaysian Constitution guarantees freedom of worship.

Gigento: BN made fun of the Selangor government motto, ‘Menrakyatkan Ekonomi'. Then Pakatan banned the ‘1Malaysia' logo. Now it is BN's turn to appoint Mohd Khusrin as state secretary, knowing very well that the appointment will affect the administration of the state government.

Cala: If we were to treat the state secretary post as an item of private property, it belongs to the chief minister, and that makes him the private property of the chief minister. The moment the state secretary is also answerable to the prime minister, he becomes the common property of both the chief minister and the PM.

In short, Mohd Khusrin has my pity. He is an item of common property.

What's next?: At the end of the day, we the rakyat will suffer. Malaysian democracy (whatever is left of it) is still in its infancy. All the 'YBs' up there have no idea how to work together. They are worst than babies fighting over ice-cream.

They (both sides) don't deserve to be YBs at all, because they are selfish and ignore the well-being of the rakyat. They are playing games at our expense.

What's This: Mohd Khusrin is a mole planted to sabotage Pakatan rule in Selangor. So many blatant blundering decisions against Pakatan policies were made by him deliberately. How can Selangor Pakatan accept him?

Sad: Satu lagi projek Umno untuk jatuhkan kerajaan Selangor yang disokong oleh Sultan Selangor. I wonder how the sultan can agree to the appointment of this very controversial person.

ACR: The various state religious departments come under the purview of the federal government, and so does the position of state secretary. The federal government has been vested with too much power in this country. The many controversial actions by Jais are by extension federal government-driven.

Anonymous: BN is setting the stage to do an operation ‘ala Perak' after the next election, by getting their man to be the state secretary, just like in Perak.

Ghkok: This is a result of 53 years of one-party rule. All the power is concentrated in the federal government and they have at their disposal all the instruments of control, like the police, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, the Election Commission, attorney-general, and even the employees of the state government.

All these instruments are turned into missiles aimed at the opposition. From what I hear on the ground, almost 75 percent of employees at the state level are actually part of the federal civil services.

To be fair, many of these civil servants are actually in a dilemma as to who to take orders from. In principle, they are serving the state and should take instructions from the state by virtue of the fact that the state government is elected by the people of Selangor. The federal government should not interfere.

Geronimo: I hope and pray that His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor has the good sense not to approve the appointment. Otherwise, the Talibanisation of the state of Selangor is at hand.

Sabawak: Mohd Khusrin is a politician playing a political game. He should have understood the implications. He should have insisted that the federal government consult the menteri besar. On the contrary, he allowed it to happen. It is obvious that Khusrin is a politician, nothing less.

Citizen: It is obvious that the federal government is trying its best to put a spoke in the wheel in Pakatan-run state of Selangor. Aren't they ashamed of themselves? This confirms the fact they do not believe in democracy by any yardstick. They only believe in sham democracy.

Simon Lee: The power to rule the state rests with the people of Selangor. The rakyat shall decide who rules the state, not any corrupt party such as Umno, and that is the essence of democracy.

The rights of the people are paramount and supreme above everything else.

The menteri besar is the head of the elected government of Selangor. He represents the people of Selangor, who put him in power. The federal government, especially, a corrupt government, or any corrupt institution, should not seek to dictate terms or try to undermine the legitimate rights of the people to ensure only good and fair leaders are elected/appointed to serve the people of Selangor.

The people of Selangor demand that the MB be consulted on all appointments in regard to serving the needs of the people and this right and power of the people of Selangor must be respected under any circumstances so as not to serve the illicit interest of those whose only desire is to undermine the legitimate rights of the MB's office and the power of the people of Selangor.

Don't Play God: All these so-called religious people are not there because they are religious or God-fearing people. They are there because of politics, and because they are prepared to do the bidding of a certain political party.

Ferdtan: If a mentri besar of a state can be treated with such blatant contempt by the supposedly apolitical head of civil servants, the chief secretary in the selection of a state secretary - what gives the idea to the 'third force' aspirants that, if elected, they can play a meaningful and portent role as moral custodians in Parliament?

They will get steam-rolled in no time by Umno MPs.
